For over 30 years I have worked directly with parents, students, educators, and attorneys to identify learning, educational, and rehabilitation barriers to employment and daily living.
Originally from Shreveport, LA, I now reside in the Acadiana region of Louisiana. My office is located in Lafayette, LA, but I consult with families and individuals across the United States.
I follow a trait-state philosophical and practical framework. Individuals have distinctive traits or features, which include personality, educational skills and profiles, vocational goals, and family background features.
Using these traits, individuals likewise are in several states or periods of their lives, which may be defined by age, stage of rehabilitation, educational phase, or others. My goal is to match a person’s trait to their present state in life, which will enable them to maximize vocational and educational opportunities.

Educational Strategies
I taught at the college level for 13 years, alongside being an academic advisor during this period of time. On a semester basis, I would academically advise 40-50 students per semester, giving me a unique and direct experiences with successful, and unfortunately unsuccessful students. These experiences further enable me to use this experience to guide parents and students for the pending college experience.
For the past 20 years I have consulted with parents, persons with disabilities, school districts, and others about educational planning at the elementary and high school level. Likewise, I have been consulting with parents and graduating seniors about college planning, including realistic career development with selected majors, proper selection of colleges, and Return on Investment for student’s collegiate experiences.
Employment Strategies
I have been conferring with state agencies and employers for the past 20 years regarding vocational and educational planning for students, employees, and others with disabilities. Within this capacity, I will traditionally complete an educational or vocational evaluation, including testing, and then offer a report with my recommendations.
Legal Strategies
For the past 20 years I have been working with attorneys, adjusters, educators, persons with disabilities, and family member to assist in evaluate of wage losses and potential medical expenses. I have a consistent history of not only preparing reports but also testifying in the scope of depositions and courtroom procedures. The primary bulk of my experiences has been in the field of vocational rehabilitation. Additional experiences have included life care planning, in which I have a specialized certification in this field. Lastly, I have experiences to evaluate wage potential and losses for prior spouses in the scope of divorce planning and litigation.
